How does scanning work?

Sweep uses Apple's on-device sensitive content detection. Your photos are analysed on your phone and never leave it. Sweep has no servers, no accounts, and collects nothing.

Why does Sweep ask me to change a setting?

Apple's detector only runs when Sensitive Content Warning is on. Turn it on in Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Sensitive Content Warning.

Where do vaulted photos go?

Into an encrypted vault inside the app, protected by Face ID or your passcode. You can restore them to your library or export them at any time. Deleting the app deletes the vault, so restore anything you want to keep first.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchase. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple account.

A photo was flagged that should not be, or missed

Detection is Apple's on-device model and is not perfect. Nothing is deleted without your confirmation, and you choose what happens to every photo.
